Application: Machining accurate components in temperature controlled rooms, using emulsion.
Precision components are produced at this facility using gear-grinding machines in temperature controlled rooms to maintain tolerance accuracy. The temperature controlled rooms use recycled air continually, which, because of the machining process, was badly contaminated with oil mist particulate. As well as creating a poor working environment, this also damaged the filters in the air handling system.
ScandMist MA 200 D and 400 D units were installed and attached to the CNC gear grinders.
By discharging clinically-cleaned air back into the temperature controlled rooms, the ScandMist units have not only created a healthier and more pleasant place to work, but have also eradicated the contamination of the air handling system, providing a cost saving through increasing the life of the filters and reducing the maintenance needed by the system.
