This international jewellery manufacturer works with gold, platinum and silver in the production of rings and other jewellery items, using CNC lathes and cleaning / drying processes.
The oil mist particulate created by the above processes was contaminating the workshops and contributing to the loss of precious metal.
Using one ScandMist MA 200D unit attached by ducting to the CNC lathes, and a further ScandMist MA 200D to the washing/spinning process, the health and safety risks of oil mist inhalation and slip hazards were eliminated.
At present, the ScandMist units are discharging air back to the workshop that is cleaner than the outside air. In addition, all the previous lost precious metal particulates are now reclaimed from the filters.
Net result is a cleaner healthier workshop environment plus the recovery of previously lost precious metal.
